About Us

Kirintec is a British privately owned and funded company that was formed by Roy Peers-Smith with the aim of building an environment that is enjoyable to work in while remaining focussed on our core expertise in the defence and internal security market.  Collectively we have over 60 years’ experience in this area and have worked with many of the world’s leading authorities.

As an independent company, Kirintec is free from the demands of public shareholders to concentrate on delivering innovative products to meet the needs of security forces. Our aim is to use our experience, market understanding and agile 'problem solving' approach to designing next generation solutions to our customers' needs. We don't sell products we sell 'knowledge' embedded in products and to allow us to do this we need to remain agile and uncluttered in our thinking. This means retaining a fairly simple and straightforward structure, where we don't get tied down with many layers of unnecessary bureaucracy and where we aim to design the product 'in-house' but then sub-contract the manufacture to appropriate companies we know and trust. That's how we remain agile but effective in a market where there are many large companies that just can't respond to new threats and developments in the way we can.

When you visit us, you may find us hard at work in our jeans and trainers, and when you call we may be walking the dog; but you will have our undivided attention. We won't promise what we can't deliver and if we don't know the answer we'll find someone who does.

The only place to debate the pictures on our office walls is over a pint at the village pub.
