On Saturday 25 June 2016, the nation will mark national Armed Forces Day.
It has been billed as a chance to support our Forces publicly. Armed Forces Day celebrations and support will be going on around the country from Monday 20 May in honour of those Associated with this community.
- Fighting terror
- Keeping us secure
- Tackling drug smugglers
- As ambassadors promoting peace
- Delivering aid to those who need it
The national Armed Forces day isn’t just a celebration of those troops currently deployed or serving in-country. It also is a day to celebrate:
- Service families – as a support network is invaluable from currently serving troops
We salute our Forces and appreciate that fighting terror (for example) shouldn’t just be on the spot light for one day of the year. We know too well it’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and depending if we are in a leap year – at least 365 days!
With this in mind, we would like to profile some of the events that are happening locally from our HQ and encourage you to go along if you can, if you have been inspired about the forthcoming celebratory day. Head along to Ledbury, Malvern or Tewkesbury – alternatively use the Armed Forces website to search for an event in your area.
