It’s been four months since we found out that we were one of eleven organisations on the short-list for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Excellence Awards for 2016.
With about one week left to the much anticipated CIM awards evening on 14 April it is safe to say the team is probably now four times as excited!
As finalists in the Brand Management – SME (Small to Medium Enterprise) it’s been lovely of how many people we work with have wanted to talk about branding with us.
I’m very aware within our industry that our products are likened to being the ‘Gucci’ products of what is available in the marketplace. However we are not copy-cats or emulators and are true innovators.
Instead, we are authentic, uniquely individual and very clearly own and are masters of our identity.
Personally, I view a brand as being a living and evolving part of our assets. If I could I would have our financial team list it on their balance sheet. In my mind it must be nurtured, protected and valued.
It is something our suppliers and partners are proud to be associated with also – thank you all so much for your support and involvement. As judging from your emails and phone calls it seems you are equally proud of what Kirintec stands for.
I love that across the organisation: from our colleagues in Accounts, right through to Engineers and Operations team members everyone has bought-in to its importance. The effects of positive internal communications continue to make a difference in our SME.
Chris Daly Acting chief executive explained the point in the awards, he said: “They remind us why we do what we do, and demonstrate the impact that creative and well-delivered marketing can have.”
Look out as we will post a photo (perhaps two) of the team at the Grosvenor Hotel post CIM Awards evening. It seems ironic they are serving Herefordshire beef on the menu when our HQ is Herefordshire based; a happy coincidence perhaps?
