Good luck to 11 EOD Regiment’s rugby team

With England seeking to secure the Grand Slam as part of the 6 Nations tournament, those keenly following the sport know that rugby is a hot topic for this month!

So when our Deputy MD Nick Watts was contacted by his former Regiment 11 EOD with a sponsorship request for their rugby team, he simply couldn’t refuse.

Kirintec is now being hailed the saviour of the squad from Didcot, Oxfordshire.

The talented 11 EOD rugby team will be proudly wearing rugger shirts with the Kirintec logo emblazoned on them, for the duration of this season’s tour in the UK and USA.

The team of thirty are set to finish the Army Cup (fingers crossed for more wins chaps) and then fly across the pond to sunny California.

This is for a special rugby tour 21 April – 2 May 2016.11 EOD RFC will play a total of three matches against:

1.    Bay Area Baracus

2.    Old Aztects

3.    OMBAC

All three teams are reputedly well established – both on the pitch and off. 11 EOD players will be expected to deliver a strong performance in all three halves.

11 EOD Regiment RLC is the British Army’s specialist unit responsible Counter Terrorist Bomb Disposal and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), ensuring the recovery and safe disposal of conventional munitions.

They are therefore well used to displaying a steely spirit and work hard as a team to get results.

So from us all at Kirintec and undoubtedly our network of suppliers and customers we are right behind you and look forward to sharing how you fair. Do us proud chaps!
