Kirintec hosted a table in this years 11 EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Regiment Royal Logistic Corps (RLC), Felix Feast Charity Dinner.
Tour de Troops
I’m writing today as on behalf of the company I want to say the biggest thank you to the Tour de Troops cyclists. We know not everyone was able to attend the Felix Feast. I would like to publicly acknowledge your thoughtfulness.
Kirintec sponsored this inaugural charity bike ride with members from 11 EOD Regt RLC. We were genuinely so thrilled to receive the special signed and framed cycling shirt we were presented with on the evening (pictured above).
The team united to cycle 1,500 miles (2,414km) from 11 to 26 June 2017, all in the name of the Felix Fund, so we are in awe of you achievement.
The amazing team averaged 100 miles a day in hot conditions cycling:
As well as a mammoth fund raising effort, itproved to be an important team / character building exercise.
The men and lady cyclists achieved an amazing feat to complete the task, however they were supported by their families, colleagues and others who donated money, time and equipment to their united cause. (You know who you are!). The challenge enjoyed some unprecedented PR coverage, which I have no doubt inspired others.
11 EOD RLC Regiment provides EOD, ammunition inspectorate and technical support to the Field Army in all theatres.
Naturally the work of these unsung heroes overlaps with Kirintec Solutions. EOD, IEDD (Improvised Explosive Device Disposal) and EW (Electronic Warfare) are part of what we do.
We have colleagues who have walked similar steps as our learned friends in 11 EOD RLC do. We remember the fallen and remain proud to support those who need help.
During the afternoon programme of a UK IEDD demonstration task and Explosive Power Weaponry Demonstration, attendees were spoken to by both charities. It was particularly interesting to note that recent donations helped an athlete competing in the Invictus Games 2017, in Toronto.
Attending an event such as the Felix Feast, you cannot cease to be inspired and captivated by the work that is done, often by unsung heroes.
While we were blown away by the generous presentation on the evening, we were completed humbled too. Thank you.
Please visit either of The ABF Soldiers’ Charity of Felix Fund websites to donate, alternatively you can view some of our EOD equipment here. Meanwhile, we eagerly await delivery of the signed shirt and winning bids from the charity auction get delivered to our HQ.
Finally, if you would like to start a conversation with our team about solutions get in touch now.
