Felix Fund and EOD Warrior Foundation charity dinner

Kirintec is to attend a charity dinner at Gibson Hall, Bishopsgate in London. It is in support of the Felix Fund and EOD Warrior Foundation on 19 April 2016.

The fundraising event is taking part mid-way through the Security and Counter Exhibition (SCTX). I am delighted Kirintec continues to support the Felix Fund. And for the first time the EOD Warrior Foundation. These two charitable organisation’s support bomb disposal experts and their families.

The Felix Fund is pairing up with the United States EOD Warrior Foundation, bringing the first British and American EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) charities gala to us all in the defence and security community. Both organisations provide help to those whose lives have been significantly affected for the worse, by their courageous previous lives in bomb disposal.

This is a worthy cause, that we strongly believe in.

The Felix Fund helps anyone involved in Counter-IED work. They help finance therapeutic breaks for bomb disposal teams returning from Afghanistan. They also assist with rehabilitation facilities for EOD personnel.

Something I feel is very important and was instrumental in starting, they provide hardship grants for individual members of the bomb disposal family who are in need.  Replicating this over in the United States, the EOD Warrior Foundation is a not for profit organisation that benefits fallen EOD warriors and their families.

As well as a great evening function between show days, we feel it is important that awareness is raised of these two excellent causes. At Kirintec we are proud to recognise the fallen and injured and these include our own former colleagues and friends.

We appreciate it is vital, not just to offer the financial support, but to inform you about their good work.

Fundraising is not just for one night. It is being undertaken to honour those who perform some of the most dangerous jobs in the military. It must be a continuous and dynamic process. At Kirintec we want to play as large a part in that as we can.
